Lesley Belleau<\/b> is an Anishnaabekwe writer, educator, and activist from the Ojibway Nation of Ketegaunseebee (Garden River First Nation), located outside of Bawating\/Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.\u00a0 She is a Ph.D candidate in the Indigenous Studies Department at Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario, focusing on studying Indigenous Feminine Literature and Narratives, and is currently a Pre-Doctoral Fellow at Queen\u2019s University.\u00a0 Lesley is the author of the short fiction collections <\/span>The Colour of Dried Bones<\/span><\/i> (Kegedonce Press) and <\/span>Sweat<\/span><\/i> (Your Scrivener Press), and most recently was the winner of the Pat Lowther Award for her poetry collection <\/span>Indianland<\/span><\/i> (ARP).<\/span><\/p>\n![\"the](\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/lakerblogs.lssu.edu\/library\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2022\/04\/indianland_cover_01.jpg?resize=137%2C165\")

Belleau will give an overview of her works, which explore feminist and Indigenous perspectives, and discuss lived experiences, followed by a reading and questions from the audience.
