Building on last summer’s popular ASL class, we are offering two levels of American Sign Language this summer: Level 1: Introduction to ASL and Level 2: Continuing ASL.
The ASL 1 course has reached capacity; registration now closed.In Level 1, participants will learn basics of ASL including the alphabet, numbers, finger-spelling, and build a vocabulary of over 100 signs, as well as gain an understanding of deaf culture.
ASL Level 2 will build upon the skills gained in Level 1, giving participants the opportunity to expand their ASL vocabulary as well as practice conversing with their fellow students.</p?
These are 6 week courses; Level 1 classes will meet on Mondays, and Level 2 classes on Tuesdays.

Want to start a relaxing hobby?
In this introductory class, we will learn how to create two crochet stitches: single crochet and double crochet. Libbey will walk you through how to start and finish your piece as well as how to change colors throughout your project. You will go home with two small scale samples, a how-to packet, a beginners materials kit, and you will start on a project of your own before you leave. These skills can be easily be transferred to a scarf or blanket!
