About

Geology Club is the oldest student club at LSSU! The club was founded in 1946 under the supervision of Ernest Kemp. The purpose of the Geology Club is to promote geology in a social setting. One way we achieve this goal is by attending field trips to areas of geologic significance. We set up displays and invite professionals in the field of geology as guest speakers to motivate a professional attitude. We also offer recreation and social activities along with tutoring for geology classes.  Fundraisers are organized to offset the cost of these functions.
