Professor Kipka talks about three different grading schemes and discusses advantages and disadvantages of each. These grading schemes (traditional, standards-based, and mastery) have all been used in the intermediate algebra courses at Lake State. These schemes are not content-specific, however, and could easily be used outside of mathematics.
