ACES Poster

Adverse Childhood Experiences: What if the biggest public health and educational issue actually begins with the smallest of us? ACE stands for Adverse Childhood Experiences and is described as a traumatic event that happens during childhood prior to the age of 18. You will find that ACEs are common, often cluster, and are responsible for multiple health and social problems that emerge later in life. People with an ACE score of 6 or more die nearly 20 years earlier on average than those with an ACE score of 0. You will learn about ACES, the original study, and its implications.
