Will Allen will speak in the LSSU Library at 5pm on Tuesday, October 25, 2022

Will Allen, the author of the 2022-23 LSSU Campus Read The Good Food Revolution is visiting campus on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, and will present a talk on his work in the Library Learning Commons at 5pm.
A pioneering urban farmer and MacArthur Genius Award-winner, Mr. Allen will share the story of his grassroots movement to change the way our nation eats.

Creating Hope Through Action – September 10th, 7 PM – LSSU Library QPR Talk & Cycle the Globe

Dr. Kristin Larsen, PhD, LMSW, ACSW, will share information about QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Suicide Prevention Training. Following Dr. Larsen’s presentation, attendees will meet at Pleger Commons for a candlelight vigil in remembrance of lost love ones and for the survivors of suicide. Afterwards we will kick off the Cycle the Globe Campaign to raise awareness for suicide prevention efforts around the world.

 

LSSU Library Scholar Series welcomes Professor Jason Swedene: “The ‘Right’ Way to Feel About HeLa: Pride, Prejudice, and Beyond”

In his talk, Dr. Swedene will explore the way that complex emotions in books, and particularly in The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, can help us examine our own emotional lives and moral characters.  This talk will take place in the Library Learning Commons on Wednesday, January 17, 2019, at Noon.
